Help for MTA members during the state of emergency
Starting on Monday, March 23, 2020, your local lodge, MTA 88, has coordinated with the Hagerstown State Police Barrack to provide an emergency prescription pickup and delivery service. During these trying times, it is difficult for any Lodge member who is following the state of emergency guidelines, the national emergency guidelines, or is self quarantined because of exposure to the Coronavirus. Some of our Lodge members may have severe health problems and are unable to get assistance for picking up prescriptions. To provide this necessity, volunteer active-duty personnel will facilitate the pickup and delivery of life-saving medications.
If you would like to take advantage of this free service, you will have to advise your pharmacy that a retired or active member of the Maryland State Police will be picking it up and delivering it to you. With the cooperation of various pharmacies, the goal of this temporary emergency assistance is to pick up and safely transport your needed medications to your front door.

This emergency service will continue as long as the Maryland State of Emergency remains in effect. We would like all MTA Lodge 88 members to feel free to use this service.
The initial point of contact: Dan Seiler 301-991-4381 will screen calls, get the necessary information, and coordinate with MTA lodge president Gary Baker to task someone to pick up and deliver the medicine.
