Death Notice-Janet Fagan
It saddens me to report that Janet Fagan passed away and will be missed by the many MSP personnel who worked with her as the Barrack Secretary at the Hagerstown Barrack. Below is Janet’s obituary.
Janet Fagan, 77, of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born Aug. 20, 1936, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Theodore Anthony and Marie Margaret Esler Tavarozzo.
She was a graduate of McKinley Technology High School in Washington, D.C.
Janet was employed by the Maryland State Police for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed baking and preparing desserts for her close friends and neighbors, and spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Walter Fagan of Sharpsburg, whom she married Dec. 15, 1973; son, Steven Johnson and his wife, Francine, of Laurel, Md.; grandson, Zachary Johnson at home; sister, Dolores Rivera of Altadena, Calif.; sister, Joan Scanlon of Huntington, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by several sisters and one brother.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md. The funeral home will be open Sunday after 1 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home,425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
