MSP Year Book
Today I got an email from Louie Ross a retired member of MTA Lodge 88. Louie wanted to know if I had any information on when he/we might be receiving our orders for the Maryland State Police Year Book, 90th year addition. Louie advised that he order the book over a year ago and has not received anything yet.
When I looked into the matter I learned the Acclaim Press was taking orders for the books directly from anyone that wished to purchase the books on the internet. Neither the MTA nor the Maryland State Police have any business interest in the selling of the books.
After obtaining the contact information for Acclaim Press, I called their customer service department. The girl I spoke to could only advise that the books were going to be released sometime this fall. Below is the year book and contact information if anyone else would like to contact Acclaim Press directly to order the MSP year book.

Prior to conducting official business, the Lodge recognized Delegate Shank and Morris Crome as guest speakers to the lodge.
Delegate Shank discussed numerous informative and interesting topics regarding the MSP, especially in Washington County. He discussed his immediate concerns to our car situation, speed cameras, money going to the county and local police departments bypassing the need of MSP. He discussed community concerns involving education, business practices of local establishments, prescription plans and health care. Thanks goes to Delegate Shank for his very informative speaker and numerous members asked very important questions about our future within the county. We wish him the best of luck in the upcoming election and we recognize that Delegate Shank is always willing to hear our concerns.
Morris “Mo” Crome directed his talk to the retirees of the meeting. He discussed retirement benefits, future of the drop program, what direction the state of Maryland is going with social security, and where the retirement system is going to be in years.
