Rich, was a first class person, no doubt and he will truly be missed. I miss seeing what new wallpaper he set on my computer screen. He was truly a great person that loved his family, work and animals. RIP Rich, we will never forget you buddy!

My family wants to thank everyone for all the support we have received and how proud my family was to see all the police officers, K9, and other local divisions represented at my brother's funeral. It meant so much to us and I know it would have meant a lot to him. He loved his job. He loved people and he wanted to make a difference. He did and will always be missed. Thank you again. Vickie Humphries, sister and The Poffenberger families.

Teresa, Jamie and Jordan;

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Rich was an inspiration to me and everyone he came into contact with. Through his laughter and his sense of caring, he was truly one of the very best. Rich will be greatly missed and he will never be forgotten.

I was Richards Corporal at Upper Marlboro when he was a cadet.
He was one of funniest and likable young men that I worked with.
My prayers for the family.

Tommy was a very close buddy all my life. We went to high school together, played sports together and he was the best man in my wedding in 1968. We stayed close all these years and in the last few years drove to Guys week together, an annual fishing trip at Gary Clipp's home in Bethany Beach. I can't begin to express the loss this creates in my life and I'm sure in the lives of many. His sense of humor, constant uplifting spirit and friedship will be dearly missed.He was simply a great guy which you always enjoyed being around.
